These tours traveled through all quarters of the old city, led visitors to familiarize themselves with the various culture and youth centers who were working in partnership with Al-Ma'mal on the show, while inviting guests to experience the dynamics of the old city in the evening hours – a rare and unique experience. "Entry Denied:" concert screening: In 2002, Marwan Abado (Palestinian holding Austrian nationality) and his band were invited to perform a concert in Jerusalem, but were detained upon their arrival in Tel Aviv airport and denied entry. In an empty theater in Vienna, artist Emily Jacir asks Abado and his band to perform the concert exactly as it would have taken place in Jerusalem. In this manner Jacir was able to bring the concert to Jerusalem through the screening of the concert she recorded. The concert was screened in the old Tile factory building, providing Al-Ma'mal with the opportunity to present the factory building space regardless of its uncompleted renovations, while also inviting audiences to view the unique space for the future Al-Ma’mal Residencies, especially within the framework of the Jerusalem show.
